ESS Travel Grants: CALL 2026
The European Society of Sonochemistry supports travel grants for young researchers (MSc-student, PhD-student, post-doc with max. 3 years seniority) for a short research visit to another academic lab. The present call opens June 29th 2026 and closes August 15th 2026. The research visit should be completed by end of June 2027. To apply, send the completed document by e-mail to the ESS chairman before the call closure.
The grant includes:
- Travel to and from the location of the research visit, as well as accommodation cost at the destination. Costs can be refunded with a maximum of 800 euro, upon proof with invoices to be sent to the ESS treasurer.
- Waiving of the Author Publication Cost (APC) when the results are submitted in a manuscript to Ultrasonics Sonochemistry; the manuscript has to be accepted before the end of 2027.
The criteria on which the submitted files are evaluated by the ESS Board* are:
- Technical quality of the project (scientific and societal impacts, creation of knowledge, etc.).
- ESS membership of sending and receiving promoters (valid at time of submission).
* ESS Board members that are affiliated to the sending or receiving institution of any of the applications have conflict of interest and are excluded of the entire evaluation for that call.
