It is our pleasure to invite you to the 6th Meeting of the Asia-Oceania Society of Sonochemistry in Kawasaki, Japan. We welcome you from December 3 to December 5, 2025 to learn about the latest advances in research, recent implementations in industry, and current offers from technology providers. The conference will cover a wide range of topics from fundamental aspects of ultrasound and hydrodynamic cavitation to applications in engineering and scale-up of ultrasonic processing, chemical synthesis, materials and nanoparticle production, surface treatment and cleaning, and environmental remediation.

On behalf of the European Society of Sonochemistry, it is our pleasure to invite you to the 18th Meeting of the European Society of Sonochemistry in Leuven, Belgium.

We welcome you from 27 May until 31 May 2024 to learn about the latest advances in research, recent implementations in industry, and the current offer from technology providers. The meeting, which is organized by KU Leuven, covers a wide span ranging from the fundamental aspects of acoustic and hydrodynamic cavitation, over the engineering and scale up of ultrasonic processing, to applications in chemical synthesis, materials and nanoparticles production, surface treatment and cleaning, and environmental remediation. There is ample time to discuss with colleagues on the future trends and possible collaborations, and this while tasting a local beer in the historical centre of Leuven.

Ultrasound and microwaves for chemical processing

A summer school on Ultrasound and Microwaves for Chemical Processing will be organized in cooperation with the European Sonochemistry Society (ESS) and AMPERE. This summer school will address the use of ultrasound and microwave technologies in chemical processes. A combination of lectures and practical sessions will be organized to approach the topics both from a theoretical and practical way. Registration for the ESS Summer School is now open via the website and is limited to 50 applicants.

On behalf of the European Society of Sonochemistry, it was our pleasure to host the 1st Meeting of the European Society of Sonochemistry in Autrans, France, from September 30 to October 4, 1990. Organized by Jean-Louis Luche, this inaugural meeting set the foundation for future ESS conferences, establishing the single-stream format with poster sessions and an equipment exhibition. Discussions at this meeting led to the formal establishment of the ESS.
